Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 25: Two major movies arrived in theaters on the eve of Eid: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan. However, did you know that producer-director Kumar Raj’s Ameena also released on the same day and significantly captured the attention of the public? Yes, it was like a looking small bit having bigger impact. Women’s empowerment is a topic Ameena discusses. With her portrayal of the important role, actress Rekha Rana manages to keep the audience’s interest throughout.
Talking about the lead cast, Rekha Rana, people have seen her in her previous movie Tara, which was showcased in more than 750 international film festivals and received 487 international awards, earning her a place in the Seven World Book of Records. Rekha Rana has won 48 international awards for best actress.
Due to Eid vacation, regions like Lucknow and Prayagraj witnessed the huge crowd of Muslims at cinema halls to see the Ameena. Even the cinema halls in Mumbai also had decent number of audiences that has given the huge sense of satisfaction to the filmmaker Kumar Raj.

Ameena is based on the play ‘Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai’. Producer-director Kumar Raj says, “I was deeply impressed after watching Aftab Hasnain’s drama Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai, where Rekha Rana played the central role. I bought the rights to that play and made it into the movie Ameena with a few interesting twists and turns.”
The screenplay and dialogue of the film have been penned by novelist Aftab Hasnain and Dr. Kishan H. Pawar. The film was released on April 12, 2024, on the eve of Eid and currently its running successfully running in cinemas in the third week!
